Earthquake in Mexico, Fires in California, Strange Hurricane Maria, and L.E. Vega's Prophetic Novel

In this satirical novel by L.E. Vega, Prasea, one of the Treading Islands, suddenly earns the title of The Entitlement Paradise. L.E. Vega compares La Perla with "The Lost World" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. La Perla is  the name of the biggest and most ignored slum in Puerto Rico, and a valuable piece of real estate, a stone's throw from the island's Capitol. Everyone who visits San Juan avoids and ignores the slum, even the politicians who work across the street. Taxis do not drive into the slum, treating it like a Lost World. Initially, L.E. Vega wrote a story about La Perla. Not satisfied, she sat down to write a novel.   Elbita Cerrillos, the main character, is filled with towering frustration upon missing the plane to the United States mainland on Entitlement Day, commonly referred to as E.D., and one of the most significant days in the history of the United States.
